izzyproudfoot 's review for:
Life As We Knew It
by Susan Beth Pfeffer
well, my Goodreads challenge is to read 50 books this year. Apparently I'm behind schedule so this is my second finished book of the day.
I'm going to break my thoughts up here:
I liked how it was written as her diary
I liked the whole disaster thing- which was very realistic the whole fall-out and stuff
I liked how she and I have the same birthday
I didn't like how long it was... unnecessarily long
I don't like how there is now two other books I have to read to complete the series
I don't think it needed more books
I did not like the main character despite her having such a good birthday
I hate how I want to read them just so I know how this plays out
I want to give this book 1 star for making me read so much pointlessness, I want to give it 1 star because now I have to read what I suspect is two more unnecessarily long books to sum up a story that didn't need more books.
I hate how I actually, sorta, kinda liked the book and find myself giving it 2 stars instead.
After discovering that the additional books- another 3 not 2- are from the point of other characters I do not know... I have decided to conclude this series with the first book.
