Spoiler filled summary

The story begins with a modern day Robin hood except Brexley doesn't do it to give back to the poor for the most part, she's a thief for the thrill. "Brex" has a crush on Caden her childhood bestfriend but doesn't want to mess up their dynamic. The pair had a close call almost getting shot during one of their raids. Caden is the more serious one of the pair. Caden's time with Brex seems to be limited, she wants to bring excitement into his life before he becomes lieutenant, he won't have time to run wildly with her anymore. Istvan is Caden's dad and he took Brexley in when she was very young with his wife Rebeka. He did it out of respect for her dad after he passed away but treats her like absolute scum in comparison as if she is a burden. Sergent Bakos is one that assisted with their training to teach them to become soldiers and Brexley respected him. Aron is Brexley's enemy and guy she let pop her cherry while Caden was messing around with Lilla and sleeping around and she just gave in and slept with the first guy she could. Brexley has an arranged marriage to Sergiu. While setting on one last adventure, Brexley ended up getting a fatal shot wound except she ended up surviving it. Sloan a healer (and kidnapper) gave her fae medicine that humans could tolerate but she healed a lot faster than anything they've seen. They hate humans and are beefing with her heavily because she is one.

 

I'm sure this series and book is lovely, I'm just not in the mood for a series.
