I am so sad. I expected to love this book and I honestly think I would have had it not been for the writing style. I’d never before experienced a writing style that diminished my enjoyment of a book. But I just couldn’t deal with all of the really simple sentences one right after the other. It made me feel like the author thought the reader was dumb and it made the book seem simplistic and I couldn’t take it for very long. This really could have been great but it was like pulling teeth trying to get through it.
