Apartment Therapy's Big Book of Small, Cool Spaces
by Maxwell Ryan
I want to live in this book. What is the great appeal of loft beds and walk-in closet offices and tiny nook nurseries? I think it goes back to loving to build forts. Coziness also forces you to have only the necessities, and to arrange them in a pleasing way, which also appeals to me.
Whoever photographed this book faced a challenge and met it admirably.
Ideas:
p. 86 contact paper stencil on cabinet doors
p. 130 mount an antique fireplace mantel against a wall (no actual fireplace necessary)
p. 142 - The elevated cube bedroom
p. 152 - The four-poster bedroom
