I Miss The World
by Violet LeVoit
I found this book on a list of top Transgressive novels on litreactor. As much as have varied literally tastes I always enjoy something that pushes boundaries. The type of thing that can make you go dear god what did I just read? Often taking you to dark and messed up places you'll never forget. This story's main triumph is how well it's told, largely through dialogue, something a lot of writers can struggle with, is so well written here. The story flows, it is short, more a novella than novel, so can easily be read in one sitting, which I did. I won't write any spoilers, read it for yourself for that. If you're a fan of Transgressive fiction, you know it's not going to be for the faint of heart in places or throughout the story. But it was a good recommendation and a good read. Perfect for something new and for something to suck you in but can also enjoy in one go.
