An informative memoir about heroine and heroine addiction, exploring an underworld which often isn’t included in literature. Burrows’s classic is a must read for anyone interested in addiction.
His prose is sparse and to the point, he uses ‘junk’ terms, which become clear based on their context. He explores the ideas of addiction and challenged the prevailing opinions of the day about it. A fascinating and often upsetting read.
