Boone by Sawyer Bennett is the 11th book in the Pittsburgh Titans series.
I knew going into this book I was going to be wrecked. You can't read the authors blurb at the beginning and not know you're in for a ride.
But even knowing, I was not prepared. I sat here sobbing, going through tissues and walking away, but I knew I had to finish. This was raw and heartbreaking and beautiful.
I know the title is Boone, but this is Aidens' story. He is the pain who brings Lilly and Boone together. Yes, there's plenty of hockey, and the Titans family is well represented. But this is about family, fighting horrible diseases, and living with strength.
I might come back later and give more thoughts. For now, Boone and Lilly find each other when they both have other things to focus on, and they become the support when the other needed it most.
