Killing Commendatore
by Haruki Murakami
There is something so comforting about Murakami’s prose, so much so that it can always overcome whatever shortcomings the particular novel has. This one has very very few. It’s classic Murakami. It doesn’t break new ground; is more of a greatest hits novel. It’s a book you curl up with, drinking good Scotch and listening to jazz, with a cat playfully rubbing against your leg.
