I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson

5.0

I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson is one of my most favourite books ever. It's revolutionary, so artistic, so homely, it's just so authentically beautiful- I cannot imagine how anyone can live without reading it. I wish I could explain the storyline but it's very complicated and it wavers along the book so it'd just confuse you guys. It's about 2 twins, the most creative twins ever born. Both of them are artists but they are different in their own way. We read their story of being an artist, being young but seeing the world in colours nobody else understands. We see their problems, their obstacles and we see the pain, the raw aggressive pain and everything else that forces everyone to do what they do. The twist nearing the end was what sealed the deal to me that this book was very well thought of. It is amazing and it's so perfectly arranged that you fall in love with Noah, you fall in love with Jude, and you fall in love with all the artists in this world. The intensity of raw emotions and seeing the world in different ways are so fascinatingly highlighted. Just read the book guys.
