Little Bird: The Fight for Elder's Hope by Darcy Van Poelgeest

4.0

3.5
The story was relatively simple, the USA has become a Christian Empire and are attempting to take over the wild-lands of Canada, with Little Bird, a wild Canadian, charged with saving the world.
However, it’s not the story that drives this dystopian graphic novel, but the art. Each illustration is a visceral, explosive scene, filled with detailed visions of post-apocalyptic gore, twisted post-human figures and body-horror.
The art direction is simply stunning, and definitely worth the read alone. It’s the art that transforms the story from something seen before to something that sticks around after you finish.
