Oz by Lily Morton

I am coming to love [a: Lily Morton|4829595|Lily Morton|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/f_50x66-6a03a5c12233c941481992b82eea8d23.png] more and more with every book of hers I read. There's just something about the cheeky humor in her books that totally works for me, not to mention the steam can be downright dirty. Oz is the typical sarcastic MC who tends to put his foot in his mouth more often than not. I absolutely adored him. Reading his job interview scene in the beginning of the story had me laughing away and I swear I continued up until the end.

Oz is a bit down on his luck in the relationship and apartment front. He takes a random stab at a job working as a house manager for a large estate. This estate happens to be owned by none other than Silas, whom many of you may know as Henry's brother from the Mixed Messages series. ( If you do not know this series I highly recommend you read it. ) Silas is part of the "aristocracy", but although he was raised this way it did nothing to dull his personality and sense of humor. He is also as sweet as can be. He has a cook who can't cook and a gardener who spends all his time sleeping, but the man just can't fire them because they were kind to him and his brother as young boys.

Attraction between the two is felt from the beginning, but the two give it their best shot at fighting it. Both have their reasons for this and to be honest they are pretty good ones. History tends to repeat itself if you know what I mean. What neither of them expect is how Oz fits in like he has belonged at the estate all along. Silas sees how Oz appreciates the beauty in estate like he does, and Oz after so long finally feels a sense of home . Their love story was a joy to read especially with the epilogue giving us a glimpse 5 whole years down the line.
