Until You're Mine
by Samantha Hayes
What a shocking, page turner twisted crime thriller!
One of the best twisted books I have read this year, definitely in the top. It was so well written, the plot was stunning and surprising.
There was so much going on within this book, not hard to follow, but it was enough to keep you guessing what was happening. Hayes really hit this book into a top-seller, in my opinion. It was a discomfiting story of a very pregnant woman, Claudia- who is married to James, Royal Navy officer and has adopted step children, a mysterious nanny, Zoe – who is involved with a woman who wants to have a baby, and a police investigator, Lorraine, whose marriage and personal life with Adam are on the rocks.
Claudia is a social worker, she has also realized how to deal with her husband being gone for long trips at a time. Claudia hires Zoe, the nanny, to stay with her to help with the twin boys, and to help her when the baby arrives soon.
Lorraine is a police detective, a mother of two girls, and married to Adam, who is also a police detective. Lorraine and Adam are trying to overcome their sucky marriage, and have came together into co-investigating the pregnant murders. The murders were brutal, gruesome, but it told the story that needed to be told.
With the three ladies the story unfolds the gruesome tell. There are so many secrets, but eventually you are sucked right into who is telling the truth, and who is lying. You will be guessing up until the very end.
