Expiration Dates by Rebecca Serle

It all started when one day, Daphne gets a paper anonymously. In it is written the name of her next date, and the exact time they’ll be together.. and so it begins.
Until one day, it just has the name.. with no time! Maybe that’s when it begins .. ?

Honestly.. I don’t know if it’s my somewhat of a book-slump, but I really don’t know how I felt about this book!
The idea is amazing, I loved the touch of magical-realism prospect of it. Loved the story.. but felt it was all-over the place.
It moved in a strange pace, the time-line is a bit chaotic and distracting.
One second we’re in the present, another we’re in the past.. without a heads up or anything.
I also think, as I said.. my somewhat of a book-slump did factor into this review.
Nevertheless; I did cry, I did laugh, I did cringe .. a little!
It’s fun, it’s also a bit deeper than I thought.
I did want to have more about the notes and stories of all the past contenders.
