Love from Mecca to Medina by S.K. Ali

4.0

As much as I like the story telling, couple of points that threw me off a bit:

- most probably me but I felt the conflict was resolved too swiftly, especially when you consider that the author draws out the build up to the conflict for the entirety of the novel (draws out pretty well I would say). Not sure if I would call that lazy writing or a literal embodiment of an Islamic forgiveness
- [SPOILER] how does Adam quickly get a business permit to work in the US? Like in under a year-ish? Like I understand it could be perhaps its due to his Canadian citizenship(?) but he's also part Chinese? As someone somewhat familiar with the process, it doesn't happen that quickly. I guess I'll leave that to Spongebob imagination and keep the book magic...

Other than these, the story is a 5 star. I totally vibe with the author's vision to have a good story centering young Muslims that also respects the religion; and that being remembered as well as some older ancient mythologies, i think the story can achieve thag. I'll recommend this and its prequel to anyone novice enough to read and appreciate a great book.
