Hard to categorize this book. The narrators pov is not an easy place to be- she is self absorbed, mean, narcissistic, and addicted to sleeping pills. She is also, as she often emphasizes, young, hot and rich. A large part of the book is “drug addiction, but make it fashion”. But it is well written and it does give a very close look at someone who could be a real person, complicated relationships, processing the death of parents and dealing with the void of the future after college.
Still, for “young woman with art scene connections wandering the streets of turn of the 21st century NYC and dealing with life”, id recommend people “The exhibition of Persephone Q” over this book.

The audiobook narration by Julia Whelan is excellent though.
