I first really watched Dragonball when my husband watched Super and I got pretty hooked through that. I have to say I hate the way Goku is portrayed in Super and love him so much in Dragonball.
The one thing I just cannot stand is how creepy it is towards young girls, Bulma is 16 and is constantly sexualised which is so weird. Roshi / Kame Sen’nin is awful, Oolong literally kidnaps minors, the only normal one is Yamcha and he literally calls out the lolita complex.
I love the characters and their adventures but definitely prefer the anime so far. The anime is at least somewhat censored😅
I’m going to continue with the series because I know it gets less creepy as it goes on but the first few episodes/volumes are a struggle
