Stalker by Lars Kepler
5.0

I'm officially obsessed with Swedish crime thrillers ... and also Detective Inspector Joona Linna.

This was my third Lars Kepler book, and I'm hooked. For some reason I read [b: The Sandman (Joona Linna, #4)|35805854|The Sandman (Joona Linna, #4)|Lars Kepler|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1505767554s/35805854.jpg|21866975] (5 ⭐️'s) first, then [b: The Hypnotist (Joona Linna, #1)|9835731|The Hypnotist (Joona Linna, #1)|Lars Kepler|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1524049427s/9835731.jpg|7184205] (4 ⭐️'s), and now Stalker (#5). Normally I wouldn't do something so crazy, but for these books it's worked out as they can stand alone. I definitely will complete the whole series.

"Lars Kepler" is the pseudonym of the Swedish husband and wife team, and pays homage to Stieg Larsson, and German scientist Johannes Kepler. They do an excellent job of capturing a wide range of emotions, most notably that elusive "thrill" and adrenaline inducing scenes.

These books are a fun romp, and Stalker is everything I want out of this genre. Once I started, I could barely put it down and just had to finish. Perfect weekend reading.

*PS* Thanks to one of my favorite bookstagrammers, @CrimeByTheBook for introducing Lars Kepler to me.
