Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Um okay I absolutely adored this book. It was a light read compared to what I usually read, but it was extremely enjoyable nonetheless!

I loved basically every aspect about this book, except the pacing. The pacing was a little slow for me and to have basically everything revealed in like the last chapter seemed very forced, but maybe that's just me. I really enjoyed the fact that this book was in Cinders mind because to hear her describe these emotions that she's dealing with (her sisters death, hopelessness with her step family, Ikos death, her feelings for Kai, etc. You get my drift) and to see her thought process of being frustrated by not being able to convey these emotions. Ugh, my heart was hurting for this young girl. Sometimes I forgot that she was so young, she takes every bad thing in her life the best she can and obviously keeps going. I can't wait to read the second book and see how Cinder comes to terms with being the lost princess!
