This is the second of Oyeyemi's books I've "read." The first I gritted my teeth through (Gingerbread).
This one I got almost half way through and decided not to waste any more time with.. I wanna know what happens but getting there is so painful. I like magical realism when done well, but this is like chaotic whiplash. I don't get why people like her books.
