Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami

5.0

Existential; searching for the meaning of life mixed with some elements of Shintoism i.e. "the Shore." Within just a few pages, I started to take copious notes to keep both my thoughts and the general time-lines straight -- though Murakami himself makes it clear that time is too little of no importance. I was often left with many questions but few answers (as one usually is when going through life); however, I do feel as though I've learned and gained something important that I will continue to carry with me like a little stone in my pocket.
