⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 | 🌶️🌶️🌶️ | The Prince of Power by Skyler Mason
This book had so much potential, and while it didn’t quite live up to all of it, there were definitely elements I really enjoyed! The secret society angle gave major LORDS series vibes (Shantel Tessier fans, take note!), and I loved the dark, dangerous atmosphere surrounding The Four Hundred—though I do wish we’d gotten more depth and detail about the group itself.
Damian's intense, possessive "touch her and die" energy totally worked for me, and the chemistry between him and Ava was on fire. Their banter was a definite highlight—sharp, fun, and added so much spark to their dynamic. That said, I was left wanting more character development, especially since Damian is meant to be a leader in this mysterious organization. Ava, too, felt a bit underdeveloped—I was hoping to see her grow and push back more as the story progressed.
A huge highlight for me was the duet narration on the audiobook—it brought the story to life and enhanced the tension and spice, which were both top tier. If you're in the mood for a dark romance with strong spice, great banter, and secret society intrigue, this one might be worth the ride!
