Civil War II: Choosing Sides by Declan Shalvey

1.0

Look this may look better once the whole Civil War II is over, and this rating in retrospect will look exceedingly silly, but what the hell did I just read?

The Nick Fury story is just fine. The introduction of Nighthawk is fine. Another hero with a surfboard? Sure, why not. The Damage Control portion looks like a toy tie-in with Hasbro and Tonka. It brought back memories of what was the original impetus for the terrible original Secret Wars crossover event back in the 1980s, sell some toys.

I've not read the Nighthawk series yet and this is not to be critical of the hero, this is to be critical of the name. How many portmanteaus of Night (or Knight) and birds must we endure. I get that superhero names are mostly all portmanteaus, but I wish they would be as creative with names as they are with plots.
