good writing (the best of Meghan O’Brien that I’ve read so far), complex characters, unique storyline, and gripping plot. wayyy too much “in the mind of a male psycho rapist serial killer” for my taste ESPECIALLY for a lesbian erotic novel.
reading segments from the killer’s POV was deeply disturbing and really detracted from the romance and erotic elements. that being said, erotic romance isn’t my preferred lesfic genre, so if threats of/acts of sexual and physical violence and torture of women doesn’t bother you as much as it does me, the book is otherwise well done and the empathic/sexual connection between the MCs is hot.
