I went into this book super curious and excited. Although it was advertised solely as a fantasy marriage of convenience, I was not disappointed when met with a book filled with fantastical adventure and mystery. The world-building was great, with its unique magic system and a setting that gave Howl’s Moving Castle X Alice In Wonderland vibes. I was greatly intrigued. The writing completely captivates and immerses you in a scene. While reading you feel as if you are in the MC’s shoes, a fish out of water, trying to survive and make sense of everything. Would do anything to read this again for the first time.
