Things I Wanted to Say, But Never Did
by Monica Murphy
Wow. Couldn’t put this dark, twisty story down!
A dark and twisted relationship that starts with an awkward kiss at 14 continues for years….. and it’s one you simply can’t stop reading about. It gets more intense with every chapter. Rich boy bully Whit Lancaster and damaged, broken Summer Savage are most definitely not a match made in heaven. But. They light each other on fire…. And every page on fire! Talk about steamy sex scenes. Wow. This is very strange pairing. As much as Summer has a dark past that haunts her and she can’t compete with the rich kids at the prestigious prep school, she’s most certainly strong when she needs to be. And that’s what draws in the reader. This story is a slow build. The characters totally thought out and explained. Nothing is rushed.
Initially blackmailed into a sexual relationship with Whit, Summer has her inner strength and it’s pulling Whit in deeper emotionally. Pulling him close to her as much as he fights it. Summer even stands up to Whit’s rich family’s insults and degrading words. What starts as a bullying, blackmailing, dominant relationship in prep school, matures over time and distance and becomes more than either Whit or Summer can control. And do they really want to? This is a dark, erotic read. It’s intense with an ending we readers earned….. and deserve. Stunning storytelling.
