Dune is certainly not a light read. Don’t go into it thinking it will be all sunshine and daisy’s and a fun story about a boy becoming a leader of a really cool planet. It’s deep and dark and twisty and at some points unbearably slow. That being said I genuinely enjoyed the story and some of the characters and the sweetness even made me cry in a few places.
