There's a lot to like here. I especially like how, at a certain point, you begin to wonder if the protagonist is an unreliable narrator, and what that means for what's actually happening. There is quite a lot going on in the last quarter of the book, maybe a bit too much, and it contributes to the ending feeling messier than I think it actually is. 

Also, I did NOT see the twist coming.
