Just finished the book this morning. I read some mixed reviews, and well, I am a little disappointed that it is a short novel priced as a larger one, but disappointed with the story?? HECK NO!! I still get annoyed with some of the back story that starts each novel, because I KNOW THE BACK STORY...but I know that new readers would be confused, and Laurell wants to encourage them to keep reading, and hopefully pick up the past novels for the full back story....but, it is still annoying.
The fact that Miss Anita added another needy man (as she took his will) to her bed kind of amuses me. Merry has strong powerful men who just want her...Anita has strong, kind of needy men that NEED her. Funny. and still enjoyable. And we got to have Anita use her first power again, and that is true happiness. Going to start in on Bullet next I think :-)
