Phenomenal closing chapter to a wonderful series. You really see the growth in Elena and Blake, the deepening of their relationship, and all the loose ends are wrapped up. As a reader, I was definitely satisfied with how everything was wrapped up.
However, I did have a few annoyances. One, I wish that we had more interactions with the friends. I would have liked to have seen more growth from Sammy, Becky, George and Dean. I also would have liked to have seen more of Elena and Blake's interactions with the adults in their lives (Constance, the Elders, etc.). The book was a bit too focused on Elena-Blake, and not enough on the additional characters and plots (Emanuel anyone???). I also would have liked more of the battle scenes. They were very short and quick, with Elena and Blake not really present for most of the battle. I also would have loved to have seen/heard more about Blake's revenge. Sadly opportunities missed.
