The Honey Trap by Mary Jayne Baker

4.0

It's a fun and raunchy read that is surprisingly well-rounded for a debut novel. I like how the characters are realistic and quirky in their own ways. Baker even makes Steve a semi-likeable character with his Yorkshire accent and no-nonsense attitude. There's enough plot twists and turns to keep the story entertaining but not confusing. I also liked how well-paced it was. It's detailed but concise including the sex scenes which I found sappy. It was page-turning and had the scandals, the secrets and the lust that comes with celebrity journalism.
