Let me start off by saying that this wasn't my favorite Palahniuk book.
I found that it took too much time to actually get to the plot and by the time I got there, I just wasn't all that interested anymore. The constant "name dropping" throughout didn't help the books cause either; having to read about 4-8 famous names per page was a turn-off. I just started skimming over them the further along I got into the book.
A bright side to the whole thing is in fact it's plot (Act II - Act III) and it's ending…these are the books saving graces.
