Distant Star reads as a collection of vignettes (or tangents) all relating to Carlos Wieder. While it is a bit hard to follow, I somewhat enjoyed it. I like that the ending is a bit ambiguous. Although, the crime/detective bit towards the end is a weird part that feels a bit forced in it.
