Indiana Jones in space, starring kids. The premise is amazing. Ancient ruins of an alien civilization is pure catnip. But the actual story was a little slow. And my curmudgeonly grumble is that this would make so much more sense if everyone was aged up to mid-twenties (rather than 16 or 17). There is however a good twist to the story (I had guessed it and it's laid out quite reasonably), but it makes the aliens far more interesting and the cliffhanger is enough that I want to read the next one.
