Artemis by Andy Weir

Did not finish book.
So the premise of this sounds really cool and I was excited for another sci fi book with a funny heroine at the forefront...except that's not what this is. I finally had to stop trudging through at page 90-something. Jazz is written like a caricature of a "bad girl"; she's a young woman from a conservative, religious background who has now basically said "Screw it, I'm doing what I want." Okay, cool, that could be really interesting. But the author makes a point of making weird innuendos and ill-placed jokes at the strangest times. It got to a ridiculous point. Her character is incredibly flat because it all revolves around sex and her saying she's somehow better than everyone around her. She could have been really cool but she's annoying and tiresome. I can live with a haughty protagonist but there needs to be something likeable about them for me to want to keep going; I can't find anything. The plot definitely suffered and at almost 100 pages in, I'd rather read something else.
