After Brooks wife died he lived to play football and shut out everything else. Ana and Callie have been battling cancer and things don't look good for Callie. A wish brings them all together.
I liked the characters. I loved Callie who had a bright, strong yet sweet character that you often find in children who are battling major illness. Brooks had an interesting childhood that I felt helped explain his character and the walls he constructed. I felt that I knew Ana the least but I still liked her. I wish the book could have been a bit longer. It was hard for me to believe that Brooks was in love with walls tumbling after just two days, especially as I didn't really know Ana. The story was interesting and emotional. There are mentions of faith and God. For me they worked. I mention it because I know not everyone likes that. I felt they were appropriate to the story. Towards the ending that part of the story grows, but again, I found it to be appropriate with the storyline. It is a sad story at times. A child so ill and the unknowns are always emotional and challenging.  The HEA made up for it though.
