My Summary: After their mom passes away, three siblings who haven't seen each other in years come together to say goodbye. The oldest, Beth, has never left home and was taking care of her mom until the very end. The middle child, Nicole, has been battling addiction for years and has distanced herself from the family. The youngest, Michael, is the most blatantly successful of the siblings and wants to get this estate settled so he can leave and never come back. As they go through their mom's house, they find some old VHS tapes that reveal secrets that were thought to have been buried. Now, they have to decide what they're going to do with this information and what it means for their family.
My Thoughts: Home is Where the Bodies Are is a thrilling and suspenseful mystery novel focusing on how far families will go to protect each other and their secrets. Though the three siblings are extremely different, they're there for each other and swear to make their family better than it used to be.
I did figure out the plot twist, but it wasn't completely obvious to me until closer to the end. I liked that it was short and sweet while still being quite thrilling. If you liked A Perfect Marriage, you'll probably enjoy this Jeneva Rose book, too!
