Eon: Dragoneye Reborn by Alison Goodman
3.0

Eon is a really interesting fantasy novel, set in a world that was inspired by Chinese and Japanese traditions and mythologies. There were elements of this novel that I really liked (the characters (Lady Dela! Ryko!), the dragon mythology) that I really enjoyed but my enjoyment of the novel was really hampered by that fact that I just thought it was too long. Eon could have done with a good editing and it would have been fantastic. I still might read [b:Eona: The Last Dragoneye|7992995|Eona The Last Dragoneye (Eon, #2)|Alison Goodman|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1388543903s/7992995.jpg|14936811] because I'm interested to see where the story goes next, but I do wish I had liked Eon a little bit more.
I can imagine that a few people would be put off by the length of this novel, and how long it takes the story to really get moving... Disappointing, but still an enjoyable tale!
