This book is definitely a journey. Though slower paced and not as action packed as the firstbook, it's worth the read. The characters are busy working through important issues and the character development is phenomenal.
I liked the addition of Saga's point of view. As someone with agoraphobia, I found her struggle with agoraphobia to be portrayed accurately and respectfully. I liked seeing her work around her limitations. Her interactions with her captors really fleshed out the world. I'm excited to see where her relationship with Kass will lead.
The development of the relationship between Silla and Rey is very well done and enjoyable to read. The little moments between them build so steadily. Silla has to work through all the horrible things that she's lived through. I loved seeing her start to heal and find her power. Rey is so grumbly, but he's also so steady in his support and he can be surprisingly sweet. He shows his feelings through actions, not pretty words. It takes him a long time, but the moment when he finally decides to fully open himself up for Silla is one of the most romantic and enjoyable things I've read. I'm rooting so hard for these two!
