Children's fiction, first chapter book.  Cornbread and Poppy are two very different mice but are the best of friends.  In the first book we read about how Cornbread stocked up for the winter and Poppy wanted to play all fall.  In this book Poppy is excite to find out there's a carnival in town.  Cornbread is hesitant, making it very clear he doesn't want to go zooming on any rides.  So they go to the carnival, eat, play games, and finally find a ride that Cornbread can handle.  A cute little friendship story, broken down into three chapters.  The illustrations are done in pen and ink with watercolor and they remind me of the books I read as a child.
