Time Out of Joint
by Philip K. Dick
Time Out of Joint is the fifth PKD novel I've read, 3 of those read in 2020. So far I'm finding him to be a very compelling and fascinating author. The paranoia, the drug influence (sometimes), the same themes that appear to be obsessions coming up in multiple books. Questioning reality, not trusting authority, disturbing visions of the future, against fascism. Those themes seem to all be here in this book.
I had multiple predictions in my head for how the book would end, what the actual truth would be and I was still surprised by what I read. The journey from idyllic 50s life to some sort of unraveling of a mental mystery is near flawlessly done. I want to read everything the man has written, my only concern is indulging myself too much in my own paranoia and questioning ways as a result. Onward anyway
