Gillig is the master of the gothic and atmospheric, creating a beautiful world full of unique creatures and sucking you deep into the lore. The method of divining is so interesting and unique. I loved the lore behind the omens, the Sisterhood between the girls, and the slow burn between Sybil and Rory. The wax scene? The moment in the stream?! Literally obsessed. The cliffhanger felt like Sybil took her chisel to my heart! I can't wait for the next book!!
