The Maze Runner
by James Dashner
Probably one of the best books series I’ve ever had (and enjoyed finishing), I laughed and I cried, this whole series is just amazing. James Dashner did not disappoint (in any of the books might I add); the development of each character we meet in the book, and how it really makes us feel like we’re in The Glade and suffering with everyone in there, trapped in WCKD’s wicked (ha) game.
But the concept, and how it was executed was just amazing, not to mention the originality. I’ve read YA Novel after YA Novel and it felt like i was reading the same thing, just in a different book. But the Maze Runner series is different, a splash of romance on the side but not too much to the point where it takes up the entire book. It actually focuses on the story, it’s a solid book (that goes for the rest in the series too).
I also recommend watching the films after you read, makes the watching experience a whole lot different, but enjoyable.
