Greenglass House by Kate Milford

I always forget how much I like middle grade books until I read one and then I remember all over again!
This one in particular came up for me at the best time because I’d been looking for something fun and wintery to read and The Greenglass House really hit the spot. I loved the interactions with all the strange guests, Milo’s budding friendship with Meddy, his relationship with his parents despite his internal desire to know his birth parents, and the snowy landscape. The addition of a mystery and smugglers was also fun.
This book is like a nice cup of hot chocolate on a cold winters day. I loved it!
