The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

5.0

It is a surprise that I wasn't tearful at the end.. I mean the whole encounter was numbing and shocking and after finishing the book I still cannot shake off the feeling of what happened with me. 'The Hunger Games' is a sensational, shocking, breathtaking and far more importantly a devastating yet captivating piece. It's like even after finishing the book I am not sure whether I have read it carefully although knowing almost all the details by heart. The way capitol inforces its threat among people by making them sacrifice their child, dispatching the kids as though they are a piece of bread and far more importantly televising it live for the whole world to see. I mean can it get any worse? yes... for all I know the second part will be far more threatening but I am sooo into this series that I cannot picturise the terror I'll face. I just love this novel and can't wait to get my hands on the second part!!!!! <3 <3 <3
