Oh I have a LOT of feelings about this one! Definitely an ancestor of the Taggerung book - and boy aren't Deyna and Veil two sides of the same coin? Jacques firmly writes nature over nurture, which often surprises me, and not in a good way.

This would have been three stars but for Sunflash and Skarlath, my beloveds.
