This was my first Kandi Steiner book and I must say I would definitely read other books by her. I felt so deeply connected to the story and I just wanted to keep reading.

It's funny and a bit embarrassing to admit but the emotions this book made me feel reminded me of how I felt when reading very well written fan fiction. In short- fan fiction authors can make you feel emotionally invested in a story so much that you find yourself emotionally reacting to the story. Kandi Steiner did that for me in this book.

My only critique of this book is the ending. I felt like she tried to hard to make it poignant and thought provoking but in the end it almost felt confusing and muddled. This is a book that I felt deserved a much more solid ending than the way this one was worded.

It's been a few days and I still look back on this book fondly. I would absolutely reread it and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an emotional contemporary romance.
