Delilah Green Doesn't Care by Ashley Herring Blake

i love bright falls! everything about this story and this world was so easy to fall in love with, this cozy little town with so much community and history.

i loved delilah, she's so prickly and snarky but also so soft, and i loved watching her interact w the whole bright falls trio. claire was so cute, i found her so charming and relatable, especially her family dynamics with josh and ruby. i liked watching how delilah and claire's lives slotted together, and their history actually made their 2 week romance a lot more believable lol. their whole thing is just soft and fluffy and steamy and sweet.

i know this is a romance book and i should have more thoughts about the main couple, but i actually was so invested in delilah and astrid's relationship. their relationship was so messy and complicated, tenuous and painful like only family relationships can be. it makes me want to reread Astrid Parker Can't Fail again just to keep an eye out for how their sisterhood(?) has progressed.

it's hard to say much more without just saying that this is pretty much everything i look for in a romance! well-developed side characters, a wonderful small town setting, romantic animosity, and good smut. this is just top tier sapphic romance.
