Fujimoto has such an interesting, surreal, and emotional feel to his stories. I think that's best captured both in Look Back and this story. In Goodbye, Eri, those aspects are amplified with the unique storytelling vehicle of the main character showing most of the narrative through his smart phone camera and, like most of his other work, the dialogue and interactions between characters have a juvenile, yet intimate feeling. Another emotional banger, just below Look Back.
