The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón

4.0

The language of the author is amazing. I love it! It's so eloquent and reads like a classic piece of literature. There are so many twists and turns, yet everything ties together. Some parts were quite disturbing though, but they were still well depicted.

The main character was not my favourite character - I loved Fermin. He was a genuine character who was blatantly honest and said the most humorous things!

It was full of tragedy. Right from the beginning, all the way to the end - tragedy struck every character.

We read this for our first book in our book club, and it was well-received and made for great discussion.

I'm definitely going to be reading another book of his!
