Ok. We can all agree dream sex is weird and unnecessary. At least it isn't there long.
Beyond that, I think this might be my favorite book of the series. I loved the different points of view. I thought the story was easy to follow. It kept me on my toes. There were so many twists and turns you didn't know what was going to happen next! I loved it. I thought as far as an actual story goes, this book is the strongest. The spice is pulled back a bit (don't worry, there's still plenty) and more focus on the actual battle going on. Hermes and Appolo quickly became my favorite characters previously and it didn't stop with this book either. It's the exact kind of relief you need with such an intense story.
I really appreciated the trigger warnings at the beginning also mentioning what chapter it would happen in. I haven't read a book that does that yet. I thought that was nice. I wasn't bothered by any of it but looking at some of the other reviews, looks like they skipped that page and did not enjoy what they found. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS!
I am sad this series is over but I did not read Hades perspective so I know I can always revisit the realm with his side.
